Bonfire on the Allotment 5th November 2pm

Hello Everyone

Hope you are all enjoying the crisp Autumnal weather. Guy Fawkes night has come upon us with haste, so this year we won't be able to have a full scale allotment bonfire gathering as previously discussed.

However, if you do have timber, garden rubbish and other safe combustibles from your plots, the plan is to have a fire on Margaret's plot at 2pm on 5th November.

You can leave this material tidily at the side of the track through the allotments or adjacent to Margaret's, who is on plot 19.

If anyone is able to help Charlie, Ian, Paul and Brian create the pyre, then your help would be appreciated. Just arrive earlier than 2pm on the 5th to pitch in.

Many thanks in advance

Butterflies Galore!

The glorious weather over the long weekend made any serious work at the Allotment a bit uncomfortable, but it was perfect for butterflies. We hope you enjoy this selection of photo's taken at the Allotment site in the glorious sunshine last week.

Hello Plot holders

It's June and the allotment is really beginning to burst into life.

This week we have updated the photos and recipes section after we were blown away by Ann's floral display on 13a and were treated to some of Robyn's allotment fare.

Do send us your plot photos and recipes too.

Happy cultivating!

The skips are coming!

Hi All

The skips will be arriving tomorrow. Please do not use them for anything  apart from the following from your plots:

Plastic
Glass
Metal

The objective is to move items as identified by MTC and the committee.

Your help is much appreciated

Ps we have a couple of undamaged pieces of glass if anyone needs them for greenhouse repairs. Come and see Debbie or myself or contact us through this blog.

AGM Day

Hello Everyone

The AGM was held today, on a chilly April morning and was well attended by our allotment members.

Chaired by John our secretary and supported by Clive and Reg, the meeting was a useful insight into the current and future happenings at our beloved site.
There was some great input and ideas from all.

Meeting minutes will be placed on the boards and on here soon.

Profiles of volunteers for the committee will also be placed on the boards and on here too.

As always please use the comments section if you have any feedback or ideas.
